Stampin' Up! Inspired Thoughts Meets New Horizons at the Four Seasons **Plus a Link to my Pinterest Idea Pin**

I have been thinking about making cards representing the four seasons with the Inspired Thoughts bundle for a while now.  I love the New Horizons paper and I just knew that they were made for each other. I am so happy with the results!

I chose background DSP that would reflect each season and focused the design of the trees around it. I love the details in the Inspiring Canopy Dies and they are so fun to work with!  The stamp set is in the new catalog, but the dies are retiring and on sale now. Don't miss out, order yours HERE today!

There was just something about the blues and purples in this background that reminded me of winter.  One of my favorite things is watching the snow fall and cover the trees. It is so peaceful.  I used Shimmery White Cardstock for the trees and added a layer of Night of Navy and a Rich Razzleberry card base. I embellished the card front with Polished Dots.

Spring is beautiful in my neighborhood. When you drive down the street it is lined with trees and when they bloom, the treetops are bursting with flowers that look exactly like these. I used a Blending Brush to apply Blushing Bride to the treetops. I used the Bark Embossing Folder on the trees to give them dimension and texture. I added a layer of Blushing Bride and an Early Expresso card base. I embellished the sentiment with Polished Dots. I love the blue sky peaking out behind the treetops!  For complete instructions including pictures, see my Pinterest Idea Pin.

I used the Bark Embossing Folder on the trees here as well.  I made the treetops using Soft Succulent Cardstock and added Garden Green Ink with a Blending Brush. The bright background was a perfect match for summer.  I added a layer of Polished Pink with a Daffodil Delight card base to really make the colors in the DSP pop. I embellished with the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

I had the most fun making this card! The crisp air and the changing colors of the leaves never fails to fascinate me each year. Fall is beautiful and my favorite season. The bottom of the DSP background was originally blue, but I wanted a muted green so I used Blending Brushes and a mixture of Evening Evergreen, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, and Granny Apple Green inks to achieve the color I was looking for. I applied Bumblebee, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, and Merry Merlot inks to the tree tops using Blending Brushes. I added a layer of Early Expresso and a Mossy Meadow card base and embellished with Champagne Rhinestones.

Tips:
  • Plan for the season...choose your background paper first.
  • Cut extra treetops and arrange them how you want before adhering to your trees.
