Stampin' Up! Hand-Penned Petals Suite...Cardmaking Fun!

There is nothing like spending a relaxing day in my craft room.  Creativity is good for the mind, body and soul.

Don't miss out on this gorgeous suite. Order yours here today!

I made 6 cards using the Hand-Penned DSP.  This paper is so beautiful. I really wanted it to stand out so the simpler the card the better.

I used a Blending Brush to apply Pale Papaya ink to the die cut flowers. I added a bit of Misty Moonlight along the edge of the sentiment with a Sponge Dauber. I used Pale Papaya Ribbon behind the sentiment and of course, I had to add some bling! I used the Genial Gems from this suite.

I added Blushing Bride to 2 pieces of the Flowers for Every Season White Ribbon using a Blending Brush and then let them dry. I secured the 1st strip of ribbon around the back of the DSP and used the 2nd piece of ribbon to tie a knot around the 1st piece. I love the result and use this technique often.
I used a Sponge Dauber to  add a bit of Misty Moonlight along the edge of the sentiment.

I love my Layering Circles Dies and I couldn't resist using them to make this card.  I wanted to make the floral pieces stand out against the Mint Macaron circles and Pale Papaya background DSP..  The Genial Gems and Pale Papaya Ribbon were the perfect touches to finish this fun card.

I used the same white ribbon as above, but this time I didn't need to add any color.  If you look close, you can see the pink from the DSP behind the ribbon.  I love the subtle effect.  I used the Contour Dies for the sentiment.

I love that you can see the DSP through the die cut flowers, but they still stand out.  I used a Blending Brush to add a light layer of Highland Heather ink to the sentiment and placed it on Fresh Freesia Ribbon that I colored with Highland Heather Stampin' Blends to tie it all together.  Look close...I added Iridescent Rhinestones to the die cut flowers.

This DSP is one of my favorites from this pack.  I love purple and yellow together! I used Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color the white ribbon and used it to separate the 2 pieces of coordinating paper. I cut the sentiment from the Pierced Blooms Dies.  I added some Iridescent Rhinestones for
bling.
